A bright blue dial marked by ten baguette-cut diamonds is the focal point of this Rolex Day-Date 36 in 950 platinum, which repeats the baguette cut around its bezel and finishes on a President bracelet in platinum. The 950 marks the metal as 95 percent platinum, and its pale, gray-white tone sets the blue off clearly. Vivid and saturated, that blue is the darkest element on the watch, which makes every diamond look whiter. The weekday appears by its full name at 12 o'clock, the date at 3. Calibre 3255 pairs a Chronergy escapement with a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, and after casing its rate stays inside two seconds a day, ahead or behind. The Oyster case, sealed by a screw-down Twinlock crown, is water resistant to 100 meters, and a concealed Crownclasp closes the platinum bracelet of the Rolex Day-Date 36.
