A dark grey dial set with diamonds lends this Rolex Day-Date 36 in 18 ct yellow gold a graphic, contemporary edge, with hour markers of diamonds in 18 ct gold settings, baguette-cut diamonds at 6 and 9 o'clock and more baguettes all around the bezel. Dark grey is a neutral that flatters yellow gold, and every diamond on the dial stands out against it. Both calendar windows, day at 12 and date at 3, read easily against the darker ground. Calibre 3255 holds a rate of plus or minus two seconds a day in the finished watch and runs on for about 70 hours after it comes off the wrist. The yellow gold President bracelet locks with a concealed Crownclasp. It shows how well yellow gold and a cool neutral sit together on the Rolex Day-Date 36.
