Nacre, diamonds and yellow gold make up this Rolex Day-Date 36: a white mother-of-pearl dial on which ten baguette-cut diamonds mark the hours, an 18 ct yellow gold case, and a bezel that repeats the baguette cut in diamonds. Framed in yellow gold, the mother-of-pearl takes on a slightly creamy cast, while its iridescence still flickers as the light changes. The baguettes, on both dial and bezel, add straight-edged flashes to the shimmer. The full day name runs across the top of the dial, and a magnified date appears at 3. Calibre 3255 is protected by Paraflex shock absorbers and can run for close to three days unworn. Its Oyster case keeps the movement dry to 100 meters, and the President bracelet in yellow gold, with its concealed Crownclasp, rounds out this Rolex Day-Date 36.
