Framed by baguette-cut diamonds on its bezel, the blue ombré dial of this 18 ct white gold Rolex Day-Date 36 carries Roman numerals and a gradient that is brightest in the middle and falls gradually into shadow at the edge. The numerals lend the deep blue a sense of order, and against so much white gold, the baguettes become the brightest thing on the watch. The full weekday crowns the dial at 12, with the date under a Cyclops lens at 3. Calibre 3255 has a cased precision of minus two to plus two seconds per day and a power reserve of about 70 hours. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal sits over the dial. Its white gold President bracelet and concealed Crownclasp keep this Rolex Day-Date 36 in cool tones throughout.
