A fluted white gold bezel and the President bracelet around a meteorite dial with diamond-set hour markers. 40mm in 18 ct white gold. The dial is a slice of iron meteorite, etched to reveal the Widmanstätten pattern — a crystal structure formed over millions of years of cooling in space, which cannot be made on earth. At 40mm the Day-Date is the fuller of the two sizes, redrawn in 2015 with a wider dial opening and slimmer lugs rather than simply scaled up. In white gold, the fluted bezel is machined into the solid case rather than applied to it. It is worn on the President bracelet, made only for this model and for the Day-Date’s closest relations, with a concealed Crownclasp. Calibre 3255 sits inside with about seventy hours in reserve.
