A green ombré dial with Roman numerals and a diamond-set bezel give this Rolex Day-Date 40 its character, with the 40mm case and President bracelet both in 18 ct yellow gold. The green gathers depth as it travels outward, luminous near the center and dark close to the rim. Yellow gold and green make a rich pairing, the numerals add a formal cadence, and the diamonds bring brilliance without touching the dial. The weekday is lettered in full across the top, while the date at 3 sits beneath a magnifying Cyclops lens. Calibre 3255, which holds close to 70 hours, keeps time with a blue Parachrom hairspring that resists magnetic fields. Screwed down at the back and at the Twinlock crown, the case holds firm against water to 100 meters. Green and gold carry this Rolex Day-Date 40, and the diamonds supply the punctuation.
