28mm in Oystersteel: a silver dial with Roman numerals, a domed bezel and the Oyster bracelet. A silver dial is the most neutral option in the range and the one that lets the bezel and bracelet do the talking. The Lady-Datejust is the 28mm reading of the watch that introduced the date window in 1945, and it carries the same Cyclops lens and the same self-winding movement architecture as its larger siblings, scaled down rather than simplified. This reference is cased in Oystersteel with a domed bezel, on an Oyster bracelet. Calibre 2236 sits inside with a Syloxi hairspring made of silicon rather than metal, which resists magnetic fields, and about fifty-five hours of reserve. Rolex lists this alongside reference 279160-0006, identical in case, bezel, dial and bracelet; the two differ in a detail of finish a photograph will not show.
