A champagne-colour dial with applied index markers, under a fluted yellow gold bezel and the Oyster bracelet. 28mm in Yellow Rolesor. Champagne has been on the Datejust since the 1950s and remains the colour most closely associated with the model in gold. The Lady-Datejust is the 28mm reading of the watch that introduced the date window in 1945, and it carries the same Cyclops lens and the same self-winding movement architecture as its larger siblings, scaled down rather than simplified. This reference is cased in Yellow Rolesor with a fluted yellow gold bezel, on an Oyster bracelet. Calibre 2236 sits inside with a Syloxi hairspring made of silicon rather than metal, which resists magnetic fields, and about fifty-five hours of reserve. Rolex lists this alongside references 279173-0010, 279173-0012, 279173-0022, identical in case, bezel, dial and bracelet; they differ in details of finish a photograph will not show.
