A chocolate dial with applied index markers, under a fluted Everose gold bezel and the President bracelet. 28mm in 18 ct Everose gold. Chocolate is the dial colour the Lady-Datejust wears best in gold, warm enough to sit close to the case without disappearing into it. The Lady-Datejust is the 28mm reading of the watch that introduced the date window in 1945, and it carries the same Cyclops lens and the same self-winding movement architecture as its larger siblings, scaled down rather than simplified. This reference is cased in 18 ct Everose gold with a fluted Everose gold bezel, on a President bracelet. Calibre 2236 sits inside with a Syloxi hairspring made of silicon rather than metal, which resists magnetic fields, and about fifty-five hours of reserve. Rolex lists this alongside references 279175-0002, 279175-0008, 279175-0014, 279175-0016, identical in case, bezel, dial and bracelet; they differ in details of finish a photograph will not show.
