The Submariner Date that collectors call the “Hulk”: a green sunburst dial under a green ceramic bezel, in a case and bracelet of solid steel. Rolex introduced reference 116610LV in 2010 and made it the first Submariner with a green dial. It replaced the 16610LV, the “Kermit”, which had set a green aluminium bezel against a black dial; the Hulk matched the two, and its dial shifts from bright emerald in daylight to almost black indoors. The 40mm case has the broad lugs and crown guards of the ceramic generation, on an Oyster bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp and Glidelock extension. Inside is Calibre 3135, with 31 jewels and about forty-eight hours of reserve, and the case is rated to 300 metres. Rolex ended production in 2020.
