The Carrera was designed in 1963 for drivers who needed to read a dial at speed, and the modern Heuer 02 references keep that discipline — nothing on this dial is there for decoration. The black opaline finish kills reflections rather than throwing them, and the two counters are placed for legibility rather than symmetry. The Heuer 02 is TAG Heuer's own movement, a column-wheel chronograph with roughly 80 hours of reserve, visible through the sapphire case back. 42mm steel case, tachymeter on the bezel, date at six.
