Burgundy dial, burgundy bezel and a black rubber strap make this the most casual of the burgundy Black Bay 58 references, the one to wear where a steel bracelet would be too much. The strap throws the red of the dial and insert forward, since there is no expanse of polished metal competing with it, while the white markers and snowflake hand keep the time readable against the dark colour. The case stays compact at 39mm across and 11.7mm high, under a domed sapphire crystal. The Manufacture Calibre MT5400-U is certified by COSC and METAS as a Master Chronometer, running about sixty-five hours and resisting fields up to 15,000 gauss. A T-fit clasp closes the strap and adjusts without tools, while the screw-down crown holds the 200-metre rating.
