Rated to 1,000 metres and fitted with a helium escape valve, the Pelagos Ultra is Tudor's professional diver at full strength: a 43mm titanium case with a satin finish, a unidirectional titanium bezel with a matte ceramic insert and luminous markings, and a black matte dial with a sandblasted flange and a date at three o'clock. Titanium keeps a case this large and this thick, 14.5mm, lighter on the wrist than steel would be. The three-link titanium bracelet closes with Tudor's T-fit clasp and a diver's extension that now carries a visual indicator, and a black rubber strap with its own diver's extension comes in the box. The movement, Manufacture Calibre MT5612-U, has passed both COSC and METAS testing as a Master Chronometer; it runs roughly sixty-five hours on a full wind and keeps time after exposure to 15,000 gauss. Even the screw-down crown is titanium, carrying the Tudor shield in relief.
